Non-Union Mechanical Staffing

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything contractors and workers need to know about DiWo non-union mechanical staffing.

Rates & Billing

Does DiWo charge overtime after 40 hours?

No. DiWo bills at a flat hourly rate with no overtime markup after 40 hours. Whether your crew works 40 or 60 hours a week, the rate stays the same. This is one of our most significant cost advantages over traditional staffing agencies and union labor.

What does DiWo's billing rate include?

DiWo's flat hourly rate includes the worker's pay, workers' compensation insurance, general liability coverage, and payroll administration. There are no additional fees on top of the rate.

Are there placement fees if I decide to hire a DiWo worker directly?

Contact DiWo to discuss your specific situation. Our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible for contractor clients.

Trades & Workers

What trades does DiWo staff?

DiWo staffs five commercial mechanical trades: HVAC installers, commercial plumbers, sheet metal mechanics, pipefitters, and mechanical insulators.

Is DiWo union or non-union?

Can I request a specific skill level — journeyman, helper, foreman?

Yes. When you request workers through the contractor portal, you can specify the skill level and experience you need. DiWo will match workers to your requirements.

Deployment & Logistics

How fast can DiWo deploy workers to my project?

DiWo can assess availability and fit within one business day of your request. Deployment timelines depend on crew size, trade, and project location. We routinely mobilize workers within days, not weeks.

What states does DiWo operate in?

DiWo operates nationwide across all 50 states. Our workforce is travel-ready and available for commercial mechanical projects anywhere in the U.S.

Can DiWo supply workers for multiple states simultaneously?

Yes. DiWo can coordinate workers across multiple states for contractors managing simultaneous projects in different regions.

Are DiWo workers travel-ready?

Yes. DiWo's workforce is accustomed to traveling for commercial projects. Workers are available for out-of-state and remote project locations.

Insurance & Compliance

Does DiWo carry workers' compensation insurance?

Yes. All DiWo-supplied workers are covered under DiWo's workers' compensation policy. Contractors are not responsible for carrying coverage on DiWo workers.

Does DiWo carry general liability insurance?

Yes. General liability coverage is included. Contractors receive a certificate of insurance upon request.

Who handles payroll and tax compliance for DiWo workers?

DiWo handles all payroll, tax withholding, and compliance administration for its workers. Contractors do not manage this.
